Your computer might be at risk – Hell nooo !

Do you see the Windows Security Alerts icon on your windows taskbar just like in the image below

popup-error2Fist of all, this is not a virus, and this doesn’t mean that you’re pc is really in a risk. This message shows up for three reasons:

1. Your Windows firewall is tuned OFF. I this case i strongly recommend you to turn it back on

2. You don’t have any antivirus software installed (just like me). Well i don’t trust any antivirus software too, and i don’t install them just they just take resources from your PC and they never finish their job like they should. No problem we can remove the error without installing a antivirus and i will show you how.

3. Your windows automatic updates is turned off. Well if you have a genuine windows xp copy, i recommend you to turn it back on, otherwire keep it off cuz windows genuine controls can cause you troubles later.

The Icon removal procedure:

1. Double click the Windows Security Alerts icon on your task bar twice.

2. The windows security center should pop up.

3. Double click on the left menu at: Change the way the Security Center alerts me.

6. Close the windows security center, and that’s all. YEEAAAAAAAHHHH !! YOU ROCK, A+  :)

NOTE: If the same icon keeps showing up after restarting your computer, than you must be infected with a virus that restores your PC state on older date configuration, but for this tutorial keep checking my next posts :) .
