Blacksn0w unlock tutorial

The blacksn0w unlock has been released. Blacksn0w is an unlock for the iPhone 3G and 3GS. It is available for both Windows and Mac. You can download blackra1n (which includes the blacksn0w unlock) at blackra1n.com or, you can add the blackra1n source in Cydia and get it via Cydia. The source url is http://blackra1n.com/.

Here are the instruction which let you Unlock the latest 3.1.2 firmware Iphone:

1. I asume that you’re on 3.1.2 firmware at the time your reading my post, which means that you run the 05.11.07 modem firmware on your Iphone 3G or 3GS. You’ll need to have it already jailbroken which means you have cydia on the Iphone. In case not please click here to jailbrake your Iphone first.
2. Now launch cydia, wait for it to boot, and click on the Manage button.
3. Press the Sources image now and then press the Edit button at the top right of the screen.
4. Click the ADD button now which is in the upper left corner
5. A box will pop up, input http://www.blackra1n.com as the source address then press the Add Source button. Once Cydia has added the source press the large Return to Cydia button.
6. Go to search and write blacksn0w. (only few letter and the blackra1n app may show up you wont have to write the whole name)
7. Now Press to select blacksn0w at the search list.
8. Click Install at the top right side and then click Confirm button which will show up on the same place
9. When the installing will finish, press the Return to Cydia Button.
10. Wait for a minute and you will get your network under any SIM on Iphone 3.1.2
