Wordpress theme
I have been inactive in my blog for more than a week, because i was working on a wordpress theme. I am making a new website for a friend, who needed a magazine style theme. I was searching everywhere, but many of theme were premium, which means that you had to pay for them. However on theme junkie, i was able to find a theme named channel, which was pretty easy to modify and make it look way better then most of the paid theme i was considering to buy. Here is what i did additionally
- I did modify the layout of that theme,
- I changed the images to wide screen format,
- I deleted few lines of useless code,
- I added some custom PHP programming to make it optimized for adsense or other ad programs,
- Optimized it for google,
- Removed Flicr & content gallery,
- Added administration back-end for additional advertisement slots, so you can simple paste the adsense code without having to use additional plugins,
- and few other things which I cant remember right now.
I saw also the newswire theme, but now i think that the HotFixes theme

Appulous Alternative
Im sure that your tiered of searching for the latest Appulo.us password, and believe me i know that is sucks. They started changing the question almost any hour, and i think im loosing my patience, and maybe (not for now) i might stop posting the new password coz i have to go even to toilet with my laptop .
I did a little research, and i found out a great appulo alternative. The site is called AppCake and it have tons of Iphone apps ready to download. The site works very very fast, and they dont ask you stupid questions.
Ok enough free marketing, check it out by your self at http://iphonecake.com/appcake/en/ . And IphoneCake / Appcake is illegal just like Appulo, i don’t use their apps. Use them for educational purpose only, and i am not responsabile for any damage that they will cause to you or to other companies.

Another Free VPN server
While i was searching today on google, i was lucky to find another free vpn service for my blog readers. It a new company which honestly i have not tested yet, but they are offering free VPN service from a US and UK server. Interesting however i was not lucky, because they offer up to 100 free accounts per month, and i was late coz when i found them. They had already gave away 100 free accounts.
I have noticed that the first free VPN posted on my website is facing downtimes from time to time, thats why giving you an alternative is good. The comany name is hideipvpn and it can be found at www.hideipvpn.com . Today is 02 of november 2009, and according to their website they gave their 100 free accounts in less then 1 hour. So i have setup an alarm on my Iphone for 1 December 2009, and hopefully i will get an account and share it with you.
The reason why i decided to review them is because hideipvpn does not force you to download their software, which is cool. I dont trust anyone, and installing third party software can slow down your PC. HideIpVPN can be used under any OS (windows, Mac OS X, linux and even Iphone).
But i think you should try to get one at your own, because they might allow one one user name at a time to connect to the free VPN. If you achive to get one, it will be better for you, however if you share it with us on the comments it will be much better . Sharing is caring.

Update: I finaly had the chance to test their Free VPN service, and so far so goot. Works great. The speed is good and aceptable for a free service. I had to write them several emails till they activated it, but it really works. Unfortunetly it can only acept one connection at a time from the same username so i cant share it with you here. Try to get one from their website or tyu can use the previous posted VPN which is probably shown right after this post using the related post plugin .
