Blackra1n RC2
If you faced difficulties using the previous version of Blackra1n or you had could not run Icy on a blackrained iphone device with 3.1.2 ( the previous version of the jailbreak included an older version of Icy which was causing issues for a lot of people ), you should definitely try the new Blackra1n RC2. It has several error fixes and it even can jailbrake the newest bootrom that is beeing used by the new Iphone 3GS. The Blackra1n RC2 is also available for both windows and mac, however no luck for unlocking yet by GeoHot.

Note: Tethered Jailbreak means that your device must be connected to the computer in order to be switched on. Avoid shut downs and restarting the device. If you do that your device will be back to factory state.

Exapndable banners in Flash SWF.
If you want to advertise your company with an expandable banner your in the right place. In this post i will include two tutorials how to create an expandanle banner for free (you wont have to pay up to 200$ in expandablebanners.com).
The easiest way to do so is by downloading a Macromedia Flash alternative software called Alligator Flash Designer 8 and it can be downloaded from http://www.selteco.com/download/sfld.exe. As soon as you download and install, please run their software.
1.If you already run the Flash designer go to the menu at: Frame > Frame Size and choose a width/height for your banner. In my case i did 460 x 360.
2.Now go to Frame again and choose Frame Delay, Select the Stio Checkbox and click OK
3.Draw a rectangle with the Rectangle tool and make it’s size as the size of an original standard banner which is 480×60. This rectangle will be also the background of your banner, and you can choose it color by pressing CTR+F.
4.Go to Frame once again and click Duplcate, and clock OK
5.Select the Frame2 on the right pannel of flash desihner under Frame List pannel. Now use the select tool and resize the rectangle to be equal to the full size of the document.
6.Go back to Frame 1, select the rectangle (click on the rectangle) and choose Item > Actions > OnOver. Choose Go To Freame and select the Frame 2 in the combobox and click OK.
7.Go to Frame 2 select the rectangle (click on the rectangle) and choose Item > Actions >OnOu”. Choose Go To Freame and select the Frame 1 in the combobox and click OK.
8.Create animation effect. Go to Frame 2, select larger rectangle and choose Item > Intro > Tween In. Select Frame 1:Rectangle as the tween start and click OK.
The banner is now ready, and you can preview it by pressing the F9 on your keyboard. Now you can add the requiered text/animations under frame one and frame two. When you ready you have to save it by
1.Choosing Movie > Export Options and check Transparent option. Uncheck Show loader progress. Click OK.
2.Choose File > Export SWF file and save Flash file.
To can now embed the flash file in your web page, but you should use DIV tag with absolute positioning such as
<DIV STYLE=”position:absolute”>

</DIV>

Absolute position will take DIV content off the HTML flow and place it over the elements that follow DIV tag. To make some space for the smaller rectangle (so it doesn’t overlap the text) use few nbsp; and <P> tags.

Augmented Reality finaly in iphone ’s appstore
Layar Reality Browser is an augmented reality browser for the iPhone 3GS. You need the compass to work with this fantastic application. And what is even better: it is FREE.
Augmented Reality (AR) is a hot topic these days, since more and more apps start using this beautiful technology. iPhone firmware 3.1 permits the use of AR. It uses GPS location and internet data to layer information on the screen over live footage.
If you want to find a restaurant that has pizza’s on the menu, just point your iPhone in the direction of a restaurant and you can get all kinds of information about that restaurant and also see if the menu offers pizza’s.
It remains to be seen if AR really grows to a very important technology. For now, it’s just cool to show to your friends and only time will tell if this technology will become useful. And since Layar is free, it definitely is worth a look.

Cheap VPS & VDS
Are you looking for a cheap Virtual Private Server ( VPS ) or a Virtual Dedicated Server (VDS), which is stable, fast, free setup (no setup free). I bet all of them ask you to pay more then 20$ per month. Blackra1n can jailbrake any Iphone
I did anonounce on the previous post that GeoHot has found a new bug to jailbrake, but they didnt use the old name greenpois0n. Their software is called blackra1n (probably because greenpois0n.com was registered from someone), and it can jailbrake any Iphone with the latest firmware 3.1.2. Unfortunately BlackRa1n can NOT unlock the Iphone, but you can still upgrade if you use costum ISPW files.
There are a few things to note.
- The jailbreak is for Windows users only. No Mac version yet.
- blackra1n does not hactivate your iPhone (fake activate it). So, in order to use this jailbreak you will need to have an iPhone on an official carrier.
- 3G and 3GS unlockers “do not upgrade to 3.1.2 using iTunes if you want to keep your unlock.Baseband cannot be downgraded. Check out the dev team’s offerings.”
- blackra1n does jailbreak the third generation iPod touch however, it is a tether jailbreak. ” In order to boot it, just rerun blackra1n.”
- blackra1n should work on devices using firmware 3.0 and up.

Unlock and jailbrake all Apple 3.1 Deivces
If you have already upgraded your Iphone 2G and 3G (not 3GS) to 3.1, the only option to have a jailbrake and unlock is to own a Mac. Currently Dev-Team released only a Mac version of their software, knows as PwangleTool 3.1 and which can be downloaded from their website directly or as Torrent. It really sucks, cuz i dont have a Mac, and im not even planing to buy one.
My brother upgraded hes Iphone to 3.1 by mistake, and hes modem firmware was upgraded to 05.09. He achieved to restore the Iphone to 3.1 but the modem driver was not downgraded (for which we were aware). We tried downgrading it by no luck, even Fuzzy band wont work under 05.09, works only if you have 05.08.
While i was waiting for the Dev-Team to publish their windows version of redsn0w for jailbraking and unlocking the firmware 3.1, I read today they GeoHot will slove this problem for me very soon. They have found a new exploit, that is going to work on all Iphones 2G,3G and 3GS, and also for Ipods, basically every Apple Device.
The new name of Purplera1n will be greenpois0n, and will be published probably this week. The download URL, the greenpois0n source, and a tutorial will be published by me quickly, because i will upgrade to 3.1 even that im aware of the 3.1 bug which caused the Iphone to go to “coma mode”
