New bug for jailbrake and unlock for Iphone 3gs
When we all are waiting for purplera1n, dev-team reported that they have found a new bug in the new Iphone 3GS and very soon we will be able to use it. In fact is an old exploit named 24Kpwn that was first used in Iphone Touch 2G, but is still applicable to the bootrom of the iPhone 3GS. This means that by using the same technique as redsn0w, we can unlock or jailbrake iphone 3gs.
Another great new is that we will be able to use ultrsn0w on iphone, because its fully compatible and no modification is required to unlock the new iphone. However dev-team made a public call, they ask if apple releases new firmware for iphone 3gs, do not upgrade immediately !!!

If you have more then one operating system on your PC, i bet you hate when you get stuck for like 30 seconds or till you chose the OS that you want to run. Well watching it one day, i got the idea to draw something on it using ASCII characters, and here is an example of what I have done:

This demonstration is done under windows XP, but the process is similar in vista. If you use Unix/Linux, you can use my idea in almost the same way, just find the boot file of your Operating System and edit it just like i did with my boot.ini.

Jailbrake and unlock for the new IPHONE 3GS ?
If you own a Iphone 3GS, very soon you will be able to jailbrake and unlock it according to GeoHot. They claim that they achived to insert a custom command to iBoot meaning sigchecks have been bypassed . They might name it purplera1n, because they even registered a domain under that name: purplera1n.com (but so far they have hosted just a picture of a man and an iphone 
) .
If the jailbrake is real, this is a great news for unlocking too, becouse thoreticly ultrasn0w will unlock iphone 3gs without problems. Here is a screenshot of the work so far:

Unlock you iphone 3g for free and for real
After a long time, we can finaly unock our iphone 2.2.1 for free using a software thanks to DEV-TEAM. It doesnt matter if you have bootloader 5.8 , 5.9 , 6.0,6.2 or even newer if apple realesed nowdays. Doesnt matter if you have basebank 2.30.03 or 04.26.08, you can unlock all of them and here is how.
Upgrade your iphone using itunes (you must upgrade the itunes also) with firmware 3.0. After upgrading you need to jaibrake your iphone so you can install cydia or icy. There are many ways to do it, but the easiest is using redsnow software. A step by step goide for jailbraking can be found at this site http://iphonefreakz.com/2009/06/22/step-by-step-instructions-jailbreak-os-30-windows/ but make sure that you got the latest redsn0w version (0.72).
After jailbraking, you will get cydia or icy on your iphone springboard, and you have to do the following:
1. Run Cydia and go to manage.
2. Tap on Sources
3. Click on Edit in the upper right corner
4. Tap on Add in the upper left corner.
5. Cydia will promt you to enter the new sorce so make sure you write http://repo666.ultrasn0w.com (you must enter the https://) The o in snow in actually a zero, so make be carefull
6. Once the url has been entered, select Add Source.
7. Cydia will refresh and you will have to tap Done in the upper right corner.
8. Repo666.ultrasn0w.com source is added in cydia, and now tap on it
9. You will see the ultrasn0w app, and install it just like any other application from cydia.
10. Select Install in the upper right corner.
11. After installing ultrasn0w you have to do a hard Restart of your iphone 3g by holding power and home button at the same time, and release them when yourl phone will restart
12. The iPhone 3G is now unlocked and you can enter any SIM card without any chip such as rebelsim, universal sim, turbosim…You may need to restart your iPhone after inserting the new SIM.

UPDATE: When you will jailbrake you iphone using redsn0w, select it to install only Cydia , or only ICE (which i dont recommand). If you install both of them you wont be able to unlock your iphone with ultrasn0w. You will this error:
Error-sub process \usr\bin\dpkg returned an error code (1) or (2)
This error pops up in iphone 3g, i dont have any information about iphone 2g, i hope Sarim Ghani

Installing UBUNTU on FAT or NTFS
Ubuntu can be easily installed on a windows drive (FAT or NTFS) without affecting your current OS installation and without splitting your drive on partition and converting them to different formats. This is all possible thanks to a application named WUBI.
“Wubi is an officially supported Ubuntu installer for Windows users that can bring you to the Linux world with a single click. Wubi allows you to install and uninstall Ubuntu as any other Windows application, in a simple and safe way. Are you curious about Linux and Ubuntu? Trying them out has never been easier!” and this is true because i tried it.
Wubi can be found at this URL: http://wubi-installer.org/latest.php. After you will download it from you windows OS simply run it and it will follow the wizard. It will automatically download ubuntu from ubuntu’s servers. The download was very slow when i tried it, but the installation was quick very quick and the procedures very easy. The installer size of this application is arround 1.5 MB so download it and give it a try.
Hot to Install two windows on same partition
Today im gonna tell you how to install two windows on the same hard drive, and what is more interesting they will be on the same partition. I just did a test by my self, because i was not sure about this. I did install a windows home and a windows professional on my c:\.
Do do this i would first recommend to edit your boot.ini file on your PC. It can be done in many ways but it can be dont easily by pressing the windows key on you keyboard + R. The run box will be shown so please write “notepad c:\boot.ini” without the quotes and press OK. Please note that if you have other partition set as active (primary), you should write that drive letter instead of c:. However if you don’t understand this, you can simple forget what have you read in this paragraph and watch the video on the end of the article. Now copy paste the line:
“multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS=”Microsoft Windows XP Professional” /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT”
and edit the \windows to \winhome and also check the test Microsoft XP Professional to HOME so the line should look like this:
“multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINHOME=”Microsoft Windows XP HOME” /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT”
Now insert the installation CD, the win XP home edition on my case but you can istall in the same way two xp pro if you like. Restart your PC and make sure you boot from window’s CD/DVD disc.
Now it will ask you to press any key, so do like it ask you. The windows setup start soon and during the setup please choose as following:
1. Pres Enter to run the setup
2. Press F8 to accept the EULA
3. Choose the partition where you want to install (of course the same partition where your current WIN is installed)
4. Dont format the drive simple choose “Let the partition …. ” bla bla bla i cant remember now
5. It will ask you to press C on keyboard to continue
6. It will ask you to choose the installation path, and now you should press ESC
7. The last step is to rename the path from \WINDOWS to \WINHOME and press enter
8. Now just continue to follow the wizard normally, and within 25 minutes your second windows installation will be ready on the same partition. You can choose which win you wanna boot during the PC restart.
Note: If you want simply to install another windows, but the same version (not PRO & HOME but HOME & HOME or PRO & PRO), just rename the every single WINHOME text on this article with WIN2 and thats all.
If you want to downgrade the Windows PRO (professional) to HOME edition, this article wont help you, in fact thats not even possible so dont waste your time, however you may try bu editing the registry values of your windows xp to the lowest home version, and that choose upgrade install using windows. I have not tried it, and i wont try it because may be simply waste of time.Now here is a video how to edit your boot.ini easily
And now something off topic this video was recorded without any software at all, thanks to a beautiful web site ScreenToaster.com . Using a java applet you are able to record anything from a full screen desktop or fron a specific rectangle spot which you have to select. The recording can be started and stopped easily with ALT+s shortcut. When you’ll finish the recording you can save it as .mov or .swf video, or simply upload it directly to YouTube by entering you youtube ID and password or simply upload it to your screentoaster account.
Few facts about unlocking iphone 3g
UPDATE 2(23.06.2009): If your looking for unlock now you can do it, by reading this article http://hotfixes.edibra.com/?p=250 or by clicking here. You can unlock any iphone 3g as of this date, and it can be done very easily, no special IT skills are needed. Step-by-step guide is included.
Remember at this time you can only unlock iphone 3g with bootloader 5.8, manufactured before September 2008.
There is no software unlock for iphone 3g with higher versions of bootloader, you can only jailbrake it using quickpwn or other tools. You can not downgrade the bootloader, not even if you downgrade the firmware of your iphone.
There are some hardware unlock solution for iphone 3g, such as turbo sim or rebelsim, but they work temporarily or not at all, they will cause you headache so i don’t recommend you trying one of them because i do own a rebel sim card and currently it doesn’t work on my carries, and probably i will through away my iphone 3g.
Xiphone.org is definitely a scam, don’t try it because they wont refund you the spent amount. There are many screenshots of their software on the net, but they are fake, so dont try it because a friend of mine was fooled. Just check their FAQ and read their answers, they do not clarify which version they do support at all, not even bootloader or other info. They have written a funny code *3001#12345#* and that’s all.
UPDATE: I have tested iphone 3g unlocking with firmware 2.2.1 and bootloader 5.9 & modem firmware 2.30.3 on 16.06.2009, using chip unlocking. I bought a sim from universal-sim.com and as soon as i entered the sim it worked. For 5 days now I am using my iphone 3g continuously and i am very satisfied with it.
Now about the new iphone 3g s with OS firmware 3.0, accorting to DEV-TEAM, is being shipped with baseband 04.26.08. That is the baseband that ultrasn0w can be used on. Meaning, if the iPhone 3G S can be jailbroke, it can be unlocked using ultrasn0w. I am waiting for my new iphone and i will make a new post as soon as I get it.

Improve photo quality
If ance there is not enough light in a room, or simply in nature the weather condition may indicate in the photo quality even if you own a good digital camera. I dont want even to mention if you have old photos, which you have decided to scan, digitize them and upload on facebook, even they might be very interesting, the low image quality may ruin everything. That’s why i decided to teach you how to enhance you photos in several easy steps, of course that’s to the powerful PhotoShop.
1. Open your photo via Photoshop. If you need to, crop your photo using the CROP tool on the left tool bar. This can help remove any unnecessary background that may be in there.
2. Once cropped, if you cropped it, click on IMAGE at the top and select ADJUSTMENTS/AUTO LEVELS. Once you have done that, back to adjustments and this time select AUTO CONTRAST. And again, under adjustments, run AUTO COLOR.
3. After you’ve got those three down, bring up the curves palette with Ctrl+M. Drag that diagonal line until you get the balance that you like. You can drag it twice.
4. Finally, on your main image layer, click the FILTER menu. Open the SHARPEN sub-menu and run UNSHARP MASK. 100%, one to two pixels and two to ten threshold levels will make your images look much sharper.
