Two iphone tips
I’m teaching new stuff with my iphone almost everyday, and now im going to share two new feature that i have discovered lately.
1. How to save image from Safari? Its easy, of course if you know how. While your browsing, touch the image on your screen (click on it) and dont remove the finger until a new menu will pop up, with two choices: Save image and Cancel. If you choose save the image will be stored in you photo album under the Camera Roll directory.
2. If your using your iphone as ipod, you can change the song or volume level without unlocking it. Press the HOME button two times. Play, Next, Back and Volume Level options will be shown on the screen, and you can use them without unlocking the iphone.
How to edit keys on satellite receiver from remote control
If you own a Chinese satellite receiver sych as ONYX, Strong, yumato (yu-ma-to), technisat, fortec, Quadro etc etc, which are pretty cheap, but very functional; you can enter the keys for decoding the channels from the remote control easily. You don’t have to pay anymore to anyone, just press in the remote control 9 3 3 9, and a new menu will pop up on your TV. There will be shown many decoding system, choose the right one for you satellite package, and enter in it. All your current keys will be shown there, and you can edit them easily, just follow the instruction on screen.
Well you will also need keys, which you can obtain from many websites, but i will give you only one, mactrees.com. The reason why i like so much this site is that they have a simple design, and they do post only valid keys, which are updated on regular bases. They do offer keys for

Joiku – Use symbian phones as Access Point
After two weeks I’m finally back today with two new posts. I’m writing about a software for some Nokia and Samsung cell phone which have WiFi, that enables you to share the GPRS/EDGE or 3G Internet, from you phone to your laptop or Desktop PC (it must be equiped with a wireless adapter). The software name is JOIKU, it is a hard name to remember, but it does finish you a hell of a job if your in a place where there is not free wifi Internet.
I really do hate browsing the internet from a non iphone cellphone, because it very hard to navigate with arrows. Also some jobs are almost impossible to finish if you don’t have a computer.
I found JOIKU while i was searching from google for a software similar to PDANET for my Nokia E66. And whola here comes JOIKU, it impressed me that much so i decided to write a review for my blog readers. The software comes in two version:
Light – Which is offered for free but has some limitations.
Premium – A paid version, where you can do almost anything.
JoikuSpot Light is a FREE limited edition of JoikuSpot that transforms your mobile phone to a 3G WLAN Hot Spot. You can connect your laptop or other WLAN device to web everywhere using your mobile phone and enjoy 3G speed. It does not have any speed limitation but it does support only HTTP and HTTPS protocols.
With Premium Edition you can do much more: Premium is optimized for fastest connection speed and maximum connection stability, connects to your corporate intraweb and email securely (Outlook, Gmail, etc.), and supports all additional network protocols such as Skype and MSN. In addition, there is no forced landing page in Premium Edition. Also 13 languages are supported.
I did test it under XP and Vista, but as i read user comments under their website, they have tested it on PSP, Other cellphone, OS X, and even UBUNTU ( to work under ubuntu you must choose the AP to work from channel 1 to 6). The software had many options such as encryption, battery threshold, encryption key etc. But the best of all is that it is very easy to configure it, and no further configuration at you PC is required (compared to PDAnet for which you have to do some additional configuration on your computer).
If you cant download it, they even made a form where you enter you cell phone number, and they send the application at your phone. Almost all nokia wlan models can be used. Please not that this software can not be used to share a wifi connection, although it could be very cool if joiku team could add this feature, because at this case the cell phone could be used as wifi range extender.
Errr… I dont know what else to mention, this APP is great, check it out by yourself at joiku.com, you can test the LIGHT version for free. They even wrote that the light version might work for other protocols then HTTP and HTTPS,but you will face with errors and difficulties so i never tried it. If your a pirate software lover, go find it from google, it is available at rapidshare. HINT: use this as searching string: “joiku site:rapidshare.com”. Im sure you’ll get several links.
Delux camera driver fix
Many people that lives in poor countries such as me, are usually inspiered by the cheap price of Delux cameras. I must admit that they usually couse big pain, becouse they’re continualsy cousing problems with the driver regonision and you wont save any dollar, but you might even loose in case you can’t make it working which may lead you to buy another brand camera. If you haven’t purchased it yet, consider your self lucky.
The problem starts if the users is installing the drivers while the camera jack is already inputed in the USB port. But if your reading my site, that’s probably to late for you. Its impossible to undo this step by uninstalling the drivers and starting over again.
But your lucky if you reading my site. I did a compilation of drivers which you can download by clicking here. These are universal drivers which works on almost any Delux camera models and also on other cameras produces by other vendors, who are being recognized by windows as Generic Cameras.
After downloading the file, extract it to a directory which you’ll remember. Unplug the camera and plug it back. When the windows detects the camera and shows the driver installation dialog box, first choose “No, not this time”, and in the second dialog choose “Install from a list or specific location”. On the next step select the check box for “Include this location in the search” and click browse, where you have to specify the directory where you extracted the files previously. That’s all, the windows will recognise the camera now, and will install it automatically.

Iphone&Ipod touch browsers
Hard to belive, but apple allowed 3rd party web browsers for iphone and ipod touch. But wats the catch ? Does this mean that there will be an firefox browser for apple’s Iphone and Ipod? Of course not, dont even dream about it. The new browsers in fact uses a based Safari’s version of WebKit. They can be called browser extensions, but they have the functionality to run as seperate apps.

StatCounter.com is definitely the best site for tracking visitors on your. The reason why I choose to review it and share it with my readers, is that its free and invisible compered to rivals like sitemeter.com .

Worth to review – Crazy Penguin Catapult
Im starting a new cattegory on my blog called “Worth to review”, which is deticated to review applications, hardware or website that are cool. I’m going to start with a game for iphone/ipod called Crazy Penguin Catapult wich by the way has “infected” me too. Its all started when I was downloading games on my iphone, so i could play while i was taking a flight.
Actually the game is simple but quite interesting, easy and atractive. You have to shot penguins with a cataoult on a special space which is changing during different levels. All penguing which pass the catapullt shot can be used on the next step to beat the polar bear. But the game is not boring at all, each level has its own surprise. Each catapult shot is different and you have to be concentrated to shot the penguins over the fire ring, becouse the bears are covered with ice, so you’ll need to fire up the penguins helmet to bypass the ice easily.
During the game, you’re rated on each mission with up to three starts, and when you reach a certain number of starts your peguins are beeing rewarded with special fetures which helps you to finish your missions easily. Even that im not a game fan, Crazy Penguin Catapult ’s developers successfuly finished their mission and made me play this game not only during my fligh, but for a whole week.
The game price is pretty cheap 4.99$ but for jalbroken iphone and ipod users is offered for free using appulo.us a.k.a. appshare.
How to protect your passwords from online hacking.
This post is not a hot fix, actually you might better classify it as a lesson or advice.
Tons of websites and servers are being defaced daily, but you might say “I DON’T CARE, I HAVE NOT USED MY CREDIT CARD, I JUST SIGNED UP FOR A FREE ACCOUNT” or “IT’S JUST A FORUM SITE, NOTHING SPECIAL”. But hackers are really smarter then most of beginners who uses internet, and I will explain you now why.
Most of websites now days do not store credit card details, but they store users login details and e-mail address. Almost 75% of US citizens have a paypal.com account which is one of the leader internet payment processors on the internet world, 30% own a moneybookers.com account and 10% of them own an account at both of these sites.
What is your risk? I have noticed then many friends use the same password on many sites, and this way they avoid forgetting the password of their account. Actually this is very risky, and hacker thought about this vulnerability on the people mind. They search for password there are more complicated on the database (because paypal and moneybookers requires a combination of letters and number, otherwise they do not allow users to signup) and they test if their able to login on the sites that I’ve mentioned before.
So if you’re using the same password on many sites, change your paypal or moneybooker password immediately.
To avoid forgetting the password, I do not also recommend you to use a software that manages your passwords also, because they are easily exploited if you get a Trojan on your PC. My advice to protect the password from any database hack is:

You want to sign up for paypal.com, as a password choose your password and add the website address without www and .com in the end for ex abc111paypal

If you want to sign up at money bookers choose abc111moneybookers as password

For the website www.xxx.com choose abc111xxx
This way I’m sure you’re going to be more protected then you currently are.

Generic Host Process for Win 32 Services – Updated
If you’re getting bothered by the Generic Host Proccess error which poups up each time you connect to the internet, i got a very easy fix fot this problem. Just restart your PC and dont connect to the internet. Open the Control Panel and double click on firewall, and make sure to turn it ON by clicking the ON option and press OK. Thats it!
All windows XP versions and service packs are affected, i dont have any information about other win versions.
I’m updating this post with a video tutorial showing how to enable window’s firewall on a xp machine.
